Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

To the Sacred Heart of my Lord Jesus Christ,

I give myself and I consecrate myself, to Your Most Sacred Heart O' Lord Jesus Christ. I Consecrate my person and my whole life, all my actions, pains and sufferings, so that I may be unwilling to make use of any part

of my being other than to honor You, love and glorify Your Most Sacred Heart. This is my unchanging purpose, namely, to be all His,

O' Jesus, and to do all things for the love of You, at the same time renouncing with all my heart whatever is displeasing to You.

I therefore take You, O' Sacred Heart of my Lord Jesus Christ,

to be the only object of my love, the guardian of my life, my assurance

of salvation, the remedy of my weakness and inconstancy, the atonement

for all the faults of my life; since my conception and my sure refuge at the hour of death. Be then, O' Heart of all goodness, my justification before

God the Father, and turn away from me the strokes of his righteous anger.

O' Heart of all my love, I put all my confidence in You, for I fear everything from my own wickedness and frailty, but I hope for all things from Your goodness and bounty. Remove from me, O' Lord, all that displeases You or resist Your holy will; let your pure love imprint Your image so deeply upon my broken heart, that I shall never be able to forget You or to be separated from You. May I obtain from all Your loving kindness, O' Jesus, the grace

of having my name written in Your Most Sacred Heart, for in You I desire

to place all my happiness and glory, living and dying in bondage to You. O' Holy and Most loving and merciful Jesus. Amen.

My most loving Jesus, I consecrate myself anew today and without reserve to Your Most Sacred Heart. To You I consecrate my body

with all its senses, my soul with all its faculties. and my whole being.

To you, O' loving God, I consecrate all my thoughts, all my words

and works; all my sufferings and labors; all my hopes,

consolations and joys; and chiefly I consecrate to You my poor

and broken heart that I may love but only You, and be consumed

as a victim in the flames of Your true love.

Accept, my most loving Spouse, the desire I have to console

Your Divine and Sacred Heart and to belong to You forever.

Take possession of me in such a manner that henceforward I may have no other liberty than that of loving You, worshiping You and praising Your Most Holy Sacred Heart. In You I place my unbounded confidence, and I hope for pardon of all my miserable sins from Your infinite mercy. In Your hands I lay all my cares, and surrender all

that is pleasing and unpleasing unto You, and principally that of my eternal salvation. I promise to love You and to honor You until the

last breath of my life here on earth, and to propagate as far as

I am able, with the help of Your Divine grace and devotion to Your

most Sacred Heart. Dispose of me, O' Divine Heart of Jesus, according to Your good pleasure. I desire no other recompense than Your greater glory and Your holy love. Grant me the grace to find in Your most Sacred Heart my dwelling place; there I desire to pass each day of my life; there I wish to breathe forth my last sigh. Make also my heart Your abode and the place of Your repose; so that I may remain intimately united with You, until one day I may praise, love and possess You for all eternity, and sing forever the infinite mercies of Your most Sacred Heart.
